What is SEM?

SEM short for search engine marketing is a modern tool for delivery of products to the consumer. It is based on attracting as much people to your site as possible and attempting a conversion. A conversion is a process of transforming a visitor to a customer.

SEM is powered by two distinct methodologies:

  1. One is SEO, a method of influencing a site to become ranked higher in the search engine, with it increasing its traffic and with traffic, revenue.
  2. The other is paid advertising, which places you site on the search results via a method of bidding for a top position. The highest bidder wins and gains a beneficial position on the SERPs (search engine ranking positions).
